Topics have to do with incidents in their married life; some are thank-you notes, one was written to ask his wife out to dinner, and others celebrate events in their lives. Each expresses his love. The books are typed, hand-illustrated, and bound. Different covering material is used, such as tie fabric, lampshade material, calico, plaid, Chinese silk, and homespun.
